You will be welcomed into the practice & sector marketing team who are a globally diverse and friendly team focused on driving revenue growth, strengthening reputation and nurturing client relationships.

You will be supported by, and work closely with, thewider London Marketing team which includes teams of experts across events, digital marketing, pitch support, external and internal comms as well as client relationship management.

We are a collegiate team with an emphasis on teamworking and collaboration with colleagues.

The team works closely with the lawyers to create, develop and execute BD and marketing initiatives to drive growth and deliver the firm's strategy.

We work withthe business to sell the firm's expertise to our clients and generate revenue for the firm.

Your role


The Leveraged Finance BD Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Leveraged Finance practice on all aspects of BD & Marketing.

The individual will work closely with the Leveraged Finance Knowledge Lawyer and the wider Banking BD team.

Key tasks and focus areas are to:

  • Support the Leveraged Finance practice in implementing the Leveraged Finance BD plan;
  • Be the lead point of contact for all Leveraged Finance credential and pitch requests. Responsible for developing quality and accurate first drafts and project management of endtoend process;
  • Be the lead point of contact for all BD & Marketing requests, including but not limited to: client alerts, mailing lists, capability statements, CVs etc;
  • Be responsible for updating and maintaining all Leveraged Finance marketing collateral and credential lists;
  • Help develop and manage internal communications to ensure there is a good understanding of BD activities for the group;
  • Originate, plan and facilitate execution of Leveraged Finance BD initiatives relating to client targeting (e.g. around coverage of core/significant existing and target clients), product specific business development and profile raising;
  • Manage endtoend directory and awards submissions process for the group to key publications and the media (e.g. Chambers, Legal 500, FT Innovative lawyer etc.);
  • Promote, implement effective processes and encourage utilisation of Client Book across the Leveraged Finance practice;
  • Identify key sponsorship & membership opportunities to raise group profile thereby facilitating new business opportunities; and
  • Organisation of product or marketspecific client seminars and roundtable events for the Leveraged Finance practice.
Your experience

  • 23+ years BD / marketing / client relationship management experience working in a professional services firm (law firm, advisory or consultancy).
  • Degree educated, or equivalent
  • Any exposure to transactional practices will be beneficial but is not a requirement of the role.
  • Selfstarter capable of working independently.
  • A highly organised team player with great communication skills and high attention to detail.
