Description

Due to an increase in workload, our client, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of access, storage and manual handling equipment currently requires a Prep Worker/General Operative to join their team based in Redditch.

This opportunity will potentially lead to a permanent position, after completion of successful trial period. This will be working on a day shift, with immediate starts available.

Duties & Responsibilities;

Produce all the materials needed for the welding/fabrications department, working to manufacturing lists and drawings to meet the requirements of ISO9001 Quality and Inspections Procedures
Set and Operate any machine (with training) used in the preparation section
Ensure all jobs are fully kitted ready to handover to the next department
Daily machine total preventative maintenance checks (Tube Bender, Bandsaws, Euromac, Pillar Drill, Notcher, Swager, Light Guards, Stop Buttons etc)
All materials delivered must be put away by the end of the shift in the correct tote pans and steel bar racks
Assist with repairs when required
Bring to the attention of the Team leader any nonconforming items or practices
Adhere to any current quality operating procedures, an up to date copy will be retained by the Operations Director
Turn machines/motors off when not in use (electric)
Ensure all hand tools are on the correct shadow board and pallet trucks are put away in your area
Communication across all departments to ensure products hit the required lead time and each team are kept in the loop with any delays
Excellent housekeeping to be adhered to at all times
