Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a Social Care Officer, roles that are available on a full-time basis based in the Newcastle area.

This is a temporary role that is long-term and commands a standard hourly rate of £10.42 per hour with enhanced rates after a set duration of employment.


Job description


As a Social Care Officer, you will be required to help support and promote supervised family sessions between children and their parents and/or immediate family members, including transporting children to and from sessions.

You will be observing and recording throughout the interaction and making note of any advice and guidance that has been offered.

You will then be sharing your notes and information with Social Workers who are undertaking assessments of families.

  • UK based work experience working with families and young people
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
  • Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
