Job Title -Key Account Manager - National


In this role, you will work closely with an internal Key Account Manager and Key Account Director on a portfolio of large accounts.


Under direction of the Key Account Director and in line with the agreed account plan, you will develop relationships with people at various levels within the agencies.


The focus of your role is to grow the referring consultant's base to grow leads and joiners from our key accounts.

As part of your role, you will also deliver regular workshops and sessions to groups of consultants as directed by the Key Account Director.


Role Profile

  • You will be home based with extensive travel?across the country.
  • You will ensure a high level of sales activity in three?key areas of maintenance,?development, and generation, primarily through meetings.
  • You will conduct regular meetings with agencies to ensure that changes in process are kept up to date, to inform on the?regulatory landscape, and to boost relationships. This includes?out of normal working hours socialising.
  • You are responsible for educating the accounts in the portfolio on our internal processes and correct where necessary.
  • You will understand?agency business needs and objectives whilst gaining maximum available market share.
  • You will be jointly accountable for the attainment of bespoke revenue and profit?targets.
  • You will need to stay?abreastof?relevant regulations and legislations?in order to?add value to our?agencies. You will equally have?an excellent understanding of all relevant?products and services?within the Optionis group to ensure that you can promotethem?where relevant.
  • The measures of success for this role are joiner growth within your key accounts whilst achieving profitability targets. Your KPIs will be around sales activity and satisfaction scores.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a sales environment, ideally in a key account management role.
  • Experience developing account plans as a basis for account growth.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high pressure target driven environment.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulation.
