SMT Rework Technician

Bedford

Up to £35K per annum


An Electronics company with clientele in Defence and automotive sectors are looking for a Senior SMT rework and hand assembly Technician.


They offer substantial benefits including a competitive salary, bonuses based on performance, an annual bonus (last year was 3%), auto-enrolment pension, flexible working hours and a small tight-knit team.


With an increasing work-load they are currently making a few new hires, they will put time and funding into training, and support you in your career to obtain the accreditations you need to progress.


Skills needed:

  • Assembler in a CEM environment on high specification assemblies.
  • Be used to working to IPC610 Class 3 standards.
  • Needs to be able to read complex electro/mechanical drawings, work with
  • Minimal supervision and have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to hand place SMT components down to 040
  • To recognise, correctly orientate, and solder a broad selection of both SMT and throughhole packages while observing ESD precautions.
  • Experience of reworking/modifying PCBs.

Hours:

  • Flexible start times, but set in stone after agreed, not flex day to day
  • 20 days (+8 banks) this increases by 1 after 5 years, and then again every year up to 30
  • 40 hour week


  • Overtime 1.25x Mon

  • Fri and Sat 1.5x
