Description

The University of West London
(UWL) is ranked the best modern* university (non-specialist) in London in the Complete University Guide 2023.

We were also named University of the Year for Student Experience and Teaching Quality in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, being described by the editor as "regularly among the top-performing universities" and proving that "it is possible for a London-based institution to achieve outstanding levels of student satisfaction beyond other universities".

  • University status awarded in or after 1992

The School
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the leading police education institutions in the UK.

Working with Babcock Training Ltd and three other universities, UWL is helping shape the future of the Metropolitan Police Service through delivery of three programmes under the Police Education Quality Framework (PEQF): the police constable degree apprenticeship, the degree holder entry programme (graduate diploma) uniform and the degree holder entry programme detective.

UWL's Institute for Policing Studies was formed in November 2021 to bring together this collaboration, alongside the university's own policing degree and masters courses.

The Institute has gone from strength to strength and now has over 1,500 students.
