About the role:


We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Digital Fashion Practice to contribute to our vibrant research community.

You will have an emerging or established (L/SL) research specialism, in fashion technologies or digital technologies for fashion, and practice research outputs in accordance with your career stage.


You will have knowledge and practical experience of current and future digital or technological fashion methods and solutions and would be expected to deliver high quality theoretical and practical teaching sessions across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.


About you:


The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience of practicebased teaching and research in the field of digital fashion and/or fashion technologies.
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline (or near completion).
  • A PGCE, Certificate of Education, PGCLTHE or Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or commitment to obtain within three years of appointment).
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies, appropriate to the discipline, or other markers of professional standing.
  • A plan for delivering research outputs of sufficient quality to meet the REF criteria. Including published/exhibited practicebased research, articles in peer reviewed journals or monographs.


In some circumstances, we will consider applicants who do yet not have these qualifications/outputs but are committed to obtaining them and have equivalent significant attainment in their professional field.

Interviews will likely take place Tuesday 7th May.
