This is a brilliant opportunity to become or advance further as a Renewables Engineer and will primarily involve supporting the business needs in the installation of Solar PV and renewable energy solutions across a variety of projects with large commercial projects making up the larger portion of our demographic.

Role and responsibilities

  • Effective installation against plans and layouts across Solar PV installations
  • Leading or operating effectively within a team of installers delivering outstanding service in domestic/commercial (including onroof, ground mount and Solar fields
  • Supporting technical installations across containment of cabling and AC/DC cable routing.
  • Being integral to project delivery on large scale Commercial installations within timelines
  • Supporting installation across varying renewable energy products
  • Coaching and developing members of our growing team.
  • Supporting an open culture of change and development while putting safety and the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Qualities

  • Applicants must have good communication and social skills and be happy to work as part of a growing installation team
  • Self starting, autonomous and adaptive to varying project requirements and installation needs
  • Works well as part of a team and takes pride in being a teamplayer
  • Good knowledge and experience of risk assessment and working in accordance to process and method statements (RAMS)

Qualifications

  • Technical skills and competencies advantageous from the renewable/construction or utilities sector
  • CSCS Skilled Worker advantageous
  • IPAF / or Powered access Operative license (not essential)
  • Safety Awareness (working at height, asbestos, moving handling) training will be provided

Skills /attributes

  • Skilled worker with power tools, cutting equipment (training can be provided)
  • Safe working including at height
  • Experience of moving and handling training will be provided
  • Team experience across trades/ construction / utilities or renewable energy sector
  • Knowledge of Solar PV and Renewable energy desirable
  • Problem Solving, possessing initiative
  • Experience of leading teams (advantageous but not essential)
  • Ability to understand and recognise deadlines and therefore flexible
  • Based in Yorkshire or North East and Comfortable with travel as we do not operate in a fixed area although typically across the North of England and Yorkshire

Essential

  • Full UK Drivers licence
  • First class customer service skills
  • Experience or comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to be part of a team, either as a leader or integral team player

Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
