Our exhibitions and awards unite the industries they serve.

The Events Assistant will work across our portfolio, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience for our exhibitors, sponsors and visitors/guests.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the largest and liveliest professional events in the UK.


As Events Assistant you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential administrative support across a variety of events during our busy autumn schedule.

You will be working as part of the operations team, gain exposure to event planning and execution, and contribute to the success of our events.

In addition they will champion our own online event platform, ShowHub, both internally and externally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly updating exhibitor databases and ensuring accurate and uptodate information.
  • Liaising directly with clients and addressing their queries promptly and professionally.
  • Guide exhibitors through the onboarding process of ShowHub, ensuring they understand the platform features and functionalities including assisting exhibitors in uploading content such as images, videos, and documents to their showcases.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolution to exhibitors' queries by collaborating with the technical team.
  • Conduct training sessions and create instructional materials to help exhibitors navigate ShowHub independently.
  • Assisting the operations team in various administrative tasks in the runup to the shows to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Providing support to the Operations teams onsite, based in the organiser's office.
  • Supporting the team in managing and coordinating logistics both in the runup to the events and when onsite.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.

Requirements:


  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Problemsolving mindset with the ability to think creatively to resolve issues.
  • Confident in learning how to use new software and passing on these learnings to others.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and projects effectively.
  • A cando attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Any prior experience in event management or a related field is not essential but considered a plus.
