RSD Recruitment are thrilled to be working in partnership with Away Resorts, the UK's leading provider of Staycations, on their mission to inspire everyone to holiday in the UK.

We are supporting them in their search for a Head of Procurement.

Responsibilities -
Lead and inspire a team to deliver to the highest standards
To develop a procurement function that adds value to Away Resorts and drives innovation and operational excellence.
Define and mitigate supplier and supply risk.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the whole business.
Define a procurement strategy for Away Resorts that controls costs, delivers timely supplies, reduces risk, and adds value.
Define and deliver an action plan to execute the agreed strategy.

Agree deliverables and metrics to support the strategy: for instance, target cost down activity and supplier performance metrics against contractual SLAs.

Ensure rigour in procurement and buying processes.
Establish processes that support the procurement strategy.
Influences their culture change to one that aligns procurement with the operational and commercial needs of the business.
Champions FocalPoint and embed purchase order management as essential element of diligent purchasing.
Ensure that all suppliers conform to the highest standards in line with their standards of CSR.
Establish SLAs where appropriate and a framework to monitor and act on poor performance.
Set the cultural tone for productive supplier management across the business.


Key Requirements -

CIPS qualified:
chartered member

Multi category experience is essential for this position.
Experience negotiating SLAs and supplies contracts.
Knowledge and experience of managing cultural change.
