Job type:
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.

We are approved and certified for JOSCAR, AS 9100 and NADCAP certificated and are approved Tier 1 and 2 suppliers to the Aerospace and Defence manufacturers in the UK and internationally, such as Airbus, BAE, MBDA, Rolls Royce, Safran and Spirit.

The role:

We are looking for a management accountant that will be key in the production of the monthly management accounts.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Maintenance of the monthly reporting pack, including financial and operational analysis.
Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Preparing accruals, prepayments, and all necessary journals.
Monthly overhead reporting, providing variance analysis and challenging departments to control costs.
Investigate manufacturing variances.
Sales & Margin commentary
WIP analysis and review with program managers
Stock reconciliations
Review inventory adjustments
Invoice finance facility reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset register.
Review quarterly stock provisions for slow and obsolete stock.
Preparation and Coordination of the annual budget
Running all month end reports including currency revaluation (out of hours)
Analyse and review job cost data for accuracy
Review system transactions for accuracy/coding
VAT returns
Supporting internal stakeholders with management reporting
Qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
Experience in a manufacturing industry
Experience of analysis and commentary to nonfinancial staff
Proficient use of Excel

Benefits:

Holidays start at 33 days per year (including Bank Holidays) pro rata for 4 days.
Overtime rates after basic hours are 1.5 of your basic hourly rates, including Fridays and Saturdays
Overtime rates for Sundays are 2.0 of your basic hourly rates.
Shift Allowances: Nights 33%, Double day 18% and Blended Rota 22%
