Description

Faradion, the world leaders in Sodium-Ion battery technology, have an exciting opportunity in their rapidly expanding Products and Application Team for a Battery Assembly Technician.

You will be responsible for supporting and assisting the engineering teamto build battery pack assemblies and systems to the highest standard.

You will also be expected to assist in the production and testing of prototypes. There will be a requirement for occasional national and international travel.


You will have:

  • Proficient handson experience in the electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Knowledge of the scientific method and good research practices
  • Previous experience with electrical systems (batteries, chargers, inverters, etc)
  • Previous experience in mechanical/electrical workshop
  • Previous experience in 3D printing and competent knowledge in software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • The ability to operate electrical power sources and voltmeters for electrical testing
  • Excellent experience in assemble battery modules (wiring of electronic boards and components)
  • The ability and experience of the fabrication of bespoke battery components, for example electrical power cables and operate 3 D scanning and printing machinery
  • Practice in Mechanical machining (drilling, filing, etc.)

You will be:

  • Able to support test method development (electrical and mechanical)
  • Expected to investigate, diagnose and repair faults in battery prototypes
  • Able to document your processes and procedures to enable others to follow clear instructions to perform such tasks
  • Able to multitask, prioritise workload and deliver against deadlines
  • Able to follow processes and instructions where required
