An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Administration Officer within Exchequer Services.

We are looking for someone who is financially astute with the ability to manage their workload effectively, dealing with multiple workstreams and priorities, possess excellent IT skills, along with excellent customer service aptitudes.

You will need the ability to communicate with a range of people over the telephone and via our customer portal whilst working to deadlines.

The role has the possibility of working across two teams within Exchequer Services, Childrens Payments Team & Accounts Payable

The role involves administering and managing:

  • Foster carers payments and mileage claims
  • Kent Card payments
  • Childrens Direct Payments
  • Day Care Payments
  • Reclaims and overpayments
  • Support with Means Tests
  • Processing invoices and payment requests
  • The post is full time, and currently hybrid working with a mix of home and office which is based in Invicta House, Maidstone._
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position.

The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
