We have an exciting opportunity in our Global Payroll team for a
Global Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 1 year fixed-term contract basis.

This role offers remote working or in our Glasgow office, ACCA fully supports blended/hybrid working.


The job
Reporting to the Global Payroll Manager, you'll support the UK and International payroll operation for over 1,300 colleagues across forty-three countries and

  • Manage an allocation of monthly/bimonthly global payrolls, validating that calculations are accurate and comply with global/country policies and local regulations.
  • Prepare and collates monthly/bimonthly payrollrelated data changes from Workday and other sources and load them into our thirdparty payroll provider system for processing.
  • Ensure all remittances and filings with the appropriate tax authorities and payments are completed by thirdparty payroll providers or ACCA local teams.
  • Work in partnership with People and Finance teams, and provide guidance and support on payrollrelated queries.
  • Support with the preparation and collation of internal and external audit requests and ensure deadlines are met; liaise with thirdparty payroll provider as required.
  • Support Payroll Manager to implement payrollrelated policy changes, and ensure changes are communicated to thirdparty payroll provider.
  • Creates and maintains payrollrelated documentation including processes and procedures, checklists, and country playbooks.

The person

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with international and UK payroll processing and regulations
  • Is proficient in Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel with strong experience in reconciliation methodology and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with good presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, plan, and manage work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organisation both internally and externally.
