    Construction Buyer / Procurement Officer / Procurement Manager / Senior Buyer

    The Role - Senior Buyer / Procurement

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team, focusing on the external envelope of construction projects. Previous experience in this area is preferred, with knowledge of fire remediation being beneficial but not essential.

    Duties:

    • Procurement Expertise: In-depth understanding of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and contract negotiation.
    • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of fire safety regulations and materials used in construction and cladding.
    • Compliance: Adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
    • Project Management: Coordination of procurement schedules with project timelines.
    • Financial Awareness: Budget management and cost estimation skills.
    • SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS: Maintaining and building relationships with suppliers.
    • RISK MANAGEMENT: Addressing supply chain issues through effective problem-solving skills.
    • LEADERSHIP: Managing and mentoring junior staff.

    This role will involve a hybrid work arrangement, balancing time in the office, at home, and on-site as required. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in procurement or a related field.
    • Strong technical knowledge of fire safety regulations and construction materials.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

    Salary adjustments may be considered for candidates with experience in fire remediation.
