A newly created role working for this global provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance products.

The Company currently writes lines of business including; specialty insurance: aviation & aerospace, energy, marine, property, credit & political risk, and other specialty; reinsurance: property reinsurance, property retrocession, specialty reinsurance,whole account/multi-class.

Role purpose

Reporting to the Head of UK Compliance, the role represents an exciting opportunity to become involved in all aspect of Compliance teams' group-wide activities and to support the Head of UK Compliance in the management of the Compliance team.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to, supporting the Compliance team in relation to:

Dealing with licensing queries and alerts from the business.
Dealing with sanctions queries
Taking the lead on planning and completing adhoc projects.
Undertaking the annual review of policies, procedures and guidance documents.
Reviewing regulatory and commercial developments and providing updates to the team and manage associated regulatory change requirements.
Supporting the completion of the Compliance Plan.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience

Compliance experience in the London Insurance market, knowledge of sanction regimes and international licensing is essential
Strong written and spoken communication skills to enable communication at all levels.
Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willingness to work extended hours as required.
A team player with strong interest in the performance of the business as a whole.
Commercially savvy, bright, energetic and positive with a 'can do' attitude.
