On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a Scientist to join their ion channel-focuses contract research organisation, supporting a global client base.

Basic Requirements:


  • Practical handson experience in manual/automated patch clamp electrophysiology
  • Experience of platebased assay technology
  • Skilled in scientific data interpretation, analysis and presentation
  • Experience in translational assays including native tissue preparation is advantageous
  • Industrial/CRO experience is desirable (Essential for senior role)
  • Project management experience is required for a senior position

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Use of technology including manual and automated patch clamp electrophysiology and platebased imaging platforms
  • Development and execution of a range of ion channel assays
  • Data interpretation, analysis, and reporting
  • Literature reviews and presentations
  • Preparation of target validation documents

Senior role's additional responsibilities:


  • Creation and presentation of formal slide decks and reports
  • Writing and delivering presentations and reports in line with company standards
  • Contribute to the generation of scientific workplans and resource estimates for quotations.
