This role is pivotal to LifeSearch as we transition to a data-driven culture and expand evidence-based decision making to all aspects of the business.

You must be able to draw on a wealth of data, stakeholder management and coaching experience to ensurethat the transition is as smooth as possible, and we maximise the benefits from investments that we're making in data.


In this exciting new role you will have several primary strategic objectives which will directly contribute to achieving our growth plans working closely with senior leaders from all areas of the business.

The primary responsibility of the role is to providehigh quality reporting, analysis and actionable insight, to meet the day-to-day data needs of the business.

To achieve this, you will have significant scope to shape and develop our analytical capabilities, and in time, you will build and manage a team ofanalysts to support you.


You will be able to draw valuable insights from data as well as contributing to the development of our data capabilities across a range of areas, including data management, data quality and data strategy.

Having great people skills will be vital as you willbe working with, and expected to influence, colleagues at every level as well as external leaders.

Stakeholder management and engagement skills are highly valued in this role.


The role is also highly technical, so having a strong background in applied analytics and statistics is a must, as is the ability to use SQL and Power BI (or similar) to shape, interrogate and model data.

Python would be an advantage too.

Your analyticalskills will be strategically important to the business and directly impact our budgets, targets and resource planning, so attention to detail is critical.


A proven track record of providing cutting edge analysis and actionable insight, is crucial to this role, as well as a solid grounding in a range of analytical techniques, machine learning, data visualisation and BI solutions.

Experience in providing analysisand data products to support customer journeys, contact centre operations, budgeting, marketing automation, forecasting and digital marketing would be advantageous.


Leading with a best practice approach alongside a willingness to try new things and take on new challenges is key.

Business-minded, you will always have one eye on budgets and profitability, managing costs effectively whilst actively looking for the nextopportunity to increase profits.


You will be responsible for moving the business up the analytics maturity scale and, in conjunction with other members of the team, will be responsible for delivering the data strategy and target operating model, whilst balancing a high-pressure workloadand delivering to high standards and on time.


A key challenge will be to provide timely analysis and insight, whilst managing technical debt and developing enterprise grade capabilities.


There is a high degree of autonomy in workload management and prioritisation, and only moderate level of supervision, as it is a highly specialised, face-paced and skilled role.


You will be expected to self-manage effectively and show strong work ethic to lead the business in an area that is new to us.

Not only will you define the future path of the data function for the business, but you will also bring the business with you, educatingthem as you support them.

Our whole business of 315 colleagues currently are based across 3 sites London, Leeds and Milton Keynes.

You would be expected to spend some time in all of our offices with one being your main base (on a hybrid contract/2 days per week in the office basis).
