This is a post for a Therapeutic Radiographer who wishes to progress their career in a modern and forward thinking Trust and Radiotherapy Department.
All our equipment is less than 4 years old and we have plans to develop one of our Linacs so we can deliver Adaptive Radiotherapy.
The role will be to work around the whole department, taking a leadership role in the absence of a Band 7 on the unit you are working on.
As a department we do work shifts, have rota's for late workingandon call.
We work weekends when necessary (but not frequently) and as a team flex to manage our capacity to meet demand.
Professionally accountable to:
Radiotherapy Service Manager
- To work as a member of the Therapeutic Radiography team rotating through all sections of the department, under the supervision of the section leader
- To deliver a high quality, accurate radiotherapy service, which is responsive to the social and healthcare needs of the individual patient
- To deputise for advanced practitioners as required
- To supervise junior staff and students
