This is a post for a Therapeutic Radiographer who wishes to progress their career in a modern and forward thinking Trust and Radiotherapy Department.


All our equipment is less than 4 years old and we have plans to develop one of our Linacs so we can deliver Adaptive Radiotherapy.

We deliver SABR, IMRT and IGRT, Rapid Arc, Brachytherapy and superficial treatments


The role will be to work around the whole department, taking a leadership role in the absence of a Band 7 on the unit you are working on.

you will be a role model for the Band 5 team. We host undergraduate students and apprentices so you will be taking responsibility for supporting their education.

As a department we do work shifts, have rota's for late workingandon call.

We work weekends when necessary (but not frequently) and as a team flex to manage our capacity to meet demand.


Professionally accountable to:
Radiotherapy Service Manager

  • To work as a member of the Therapeutic Radiography team rotating through all sections of the department, under the supervision of the section leader
  • To deliver a high quality, accurate radiotherapy service, which is responsive to the social and healthcare needs of the individual patient
  • To deputise for advanced practitioners as required
  • To supervise junior staff and students
