Stores Assistant


We have an exciting opportunity at One Hatfield Hospital for a Stores Assistant to join our busy Stores & Supply Chain team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to facilitate the efficient, accurate, and timely supply of hospital consumables to the relevant departments.

This position requires someone with a passion for working as part of the hospital's Procurement Team under the direction of the Hospital Supplies Lead.


Main Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Accurately receive deliveries in Goods Inward and process all paperwork according to Company Policy & Procedure
  • Coordinate with colleagues to collect deliveries as required
  • Learn and use hospital computer systems to manage ordering system and stock management Transfer stock quickly and accurately to stock locations within the department and to other departments within the hospital
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain efficient levels to enable the hospital to run efficiently whilst keeping stock value to minimum levels
  • Process requisitions quickly and accurately
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure all deliveries are efficiently handled and any supply issues are rectified immediately Create Purchase Orders for stock and nonstock items
  • Run daily Outstanding Order reports, Stock Reorder reports and Theatre Schedule reports to deal proactively with hospital requirements.

Stores Assistant

Qualifications:


  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualification

Experience:


  • 2yrs + relevant experience for the role

Skills

  • Sound written, numerical and verbal communication skill.
  • High level of numeracy accuracy
  • Sound computer skills using MS Office Suite with good Excel and Word skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business.
  • Demonstrable Customer Service skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Desirables

  • Experience of using procurement systems.
  • Experience of working within a finance environment
