Our dedication to excellence and innovation drives us to seek a motivated, collaborative, and knowledgeable professional to join our Global Insurance and Risk Management (GIRM) team.

Primary Role:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Global Insurance and Risk Management to support the continuous development and management of our Global Risk Financing Strategy.
  • Manage our global insurance programs to ensure they align with strategic goals and comply with regulations worldwide.
  • Oversee and manage significant insurance programs such as Global Cyber Liability and Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability.
  • Mentor and assist team members in the GIRM department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the performance of appointed brokers according to service level agreements.
  • Handle global insurance program queries and financial matters, with a focus on operations in Japan.
  • Lead tenders for brokers and critical GIRM suppliers, including negotiations and implementations.
  • Establish a global premium allocation process in line with relevant regulations.
  • Manage relationships with global insurers, brokers, and digital platform suppliers, as well as handle reinsurance agreements.
  • Offer strategic guidance on insurance, indemnification, and risk management within the Centre of Excellence.

What You Will Bring:

  • Experience in an insurance risk management role, particularly in the life sciences industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of global insurance programs, market dynamics, and legislative requirements.
  • Strong skills in project management, communication, and negotiation.
  • Qualifications from the Association of Chartered Insurance Institute or equivalent educational background.
  • Readiness for international travel as necessary.
