Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation in Rainham, Essex to recruit a
Quality Assurance Assistantto join their team.

This is an exciting position to cover UK manufacturing entity.
This is a full-time and contract role for 4-6 months with a view of extension.

Main Responsibilities:

Supporting the Technical Manager
To monitor and police packing hall activities at defined regular intervals, take immediate control if any product, packaging or activity fails to meet the required quality standard and to inform management immediately such a situation arises

To include:

product quality checks, packaging and pack quality checks, pack weight control and metal detector performance, observance of personal hygiene standards, glass audits, sieve checks.

To monitor all incoming product on arrival for type and quality against specification, issue timely positive releases of shipments which satisfy the required standards, take immediate control if any shipment fails to meet the required quality standard andto inform management immediately such a situation arises raising appropriate paperwork e.g. Quality Alerts, NCR's and DMR's.
To audit and report on product quality and control procedures through the milling process
To monitor and report on product returns and assist in the control of returns rework
To carry out organoleptic product testing and issue reports as required
Sieve checks dust/overflow
Ensure checkweigher/Metal detector/Xray running properly with correct product codes
Product checks (Changeover)
Products checks on running lines (Full checks/brokens)
Pick up night shift samples product checks
Data entry onto system spreadsheets & filing
Set zero on metal detectors/Xray
Manage pallet numbers on Line 11 via JDE
Issue security seals
Issue labels
Tonne bag Inspections issue rework form and sign of each pallet
Pick up all magnet checks
Member of the HACCP team
