Manual Machinist
***This is a permanent role, based in Leyland, working with a leading automotive testing company.

Role & Responsibilities

Milling machine
Jig borer
Centre lathe
Capstan lathe
Surface and tool grinders

You will be required to work flexibly to provide technician support to the test departments as required.
Ensure all Health & Safety and quality procedures are adhered to
Ordering of stock
Develop initiatives to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
Day-to-day housekeeping and maintenance of the Machine Shop
Provides basic level of facility breakdown diagnostics and resolution

Qualifications required
Time-served machinist or similar

Physical Requirements
Activities will include bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity

Skills

Basic PC skills.
Good organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
Highly motivated team player
Represents high company standards
Customer focused

This is a standard day shift, working 37 hours per week over 4.5 days.
