Description
The Glee Club is a comedy and live entertainment venue in Cardiff Bay.

We are looking for someone who is a hard worker, passionate about what they do, and works well under pressure.


Main Job Roles:


  • Assist the kitchen manager in prep and service.
  • Produce high quality food, quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Assist the kitchen manager with deliveries / deep cleans etc.

Hours:

- **Must be able to work weekends and evenings. Shifts usually start around 5pm and finish by around 9 /9.30pm. We are open every Friday and Saturday and then various days during the week when we have shows on.

  • Must be available to work for most of December including 31st December. (Shifts will still finish between 9pm 10pm)
  • Hours will vary depending on shifts, longer shifts are typical in December due to Christmas party bookings.

Service
As we are a comedy club the service windows are slightly different to a regular restaurant.

We aim to get everyone served before the show starts which generally gives us just over an hour to get as many dishes out as possible.

This could be up to 300 covers at our very busiest.

The menu consists of burgers, pizzas, fries and fried items. We aim to get tickets out within minutes of them coming in.


Experience
Previous experience in a busy kitchen is required.


Bonus scheme


We operate a productivity scheme whereby if you hit a certain target, you will be paid up to £1.50 extra per hour worked.
