**Part-time Head of Compliance & MLRO (SMF16 & SMF17)**

We are seeking a part-time Head of Compliance role with plenty of flexibility.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work 1 day per week and choose which days they prefer. In addition, they can work from home for 3 days in every 4, with only 1 trip per month into our London office (Bishopsgate).

This boutique investment manager offers both Discretionary Investment Management and Advisory services for HNW and UHNW clients.

We have grown steadily whilst operating as an Appointed Representative but are now applying for our own license. As a result, we are looking for our first Head of Compliance & MLRO (SMF16 & SMF17).

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure the business operates compliantly, taking on responsibility for both Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance for the firm.
Provide ongoing Compliance advice and guidance to the senior leadership team and undertake horizon scanning to keep them abreast of any changing regulatory requirements, ensuring the business responds accordingly.
Review all new account applications and perform ongoing periodic reviews of the firm's client book.

You will be an experienced senior Compliance specialist familiar with operating at this level within the Investment Management arena. Previous experience as an SMF16/SMF17 would be advantageous.

You will have a proven track record of senior stakeholder engagement as well as team management and development. Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential.

You must also be happy working in a hands-on manner – you will never be far from the coalface.
