Brief Description:


Medovate is a medical device company dedicated to the development and commercialisation of innovative medical technologies created within the NHS.

By providing funding at a crucial point in development, Medovate will ensure that novel medical technologies with high growth potential are accelerated through development, clinical trials and regulatory approval into manufacture so that they can reach the market as quickly as possible to benefit patients and healthcare delivery.


To support these efforts and activities Medovate is currently looking to recruit a Marketing Specialist to join the Sales and Marketing Team based at our offices in Cambridge (with scope for hybrid working).


Key responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement an aggressive growth strategy for the portfolio(s)
  • Product lifecycle management and continuous improvement work on the portfolio(s)
  • Specify key product features and attributes and input to business cases
  • Define, develop and refine value and positioning statements, developing supporting sales and marketing collateral as necessary
  • Create and develop a range of content and marketing collateral to support campaigns and distributor and partner activity
  • Write effective copy and create engaging and relevant content across different channels to position product portfolios to capture attention and generate interest to drive sales lead generation
  • Ensure all marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines and meet the requirements of the company Quality Management System
  • Manage the marketing package in partnership with external agencies where necessary
  • Portfolio related market intelligence / competitor benchmarking
  • Benchmarking of products to recommend improvements and developments as required
  • Develop evidence supporting messaging and claims
  • Manage and build effective working relationships with a network of global distributors to drive activity, lead generation and follow up
  • Liaise with sales and marketing personnel and distributors for product development, product training and marketing collateral development
  • Develop relationships with relevant professional associations to identify opportunities for marketing activities, campaigns and to engage with industry KOLs
  • New product launch activities including planning, internal/external customer communication and tactical implementation
  • Define and track meaningful KPIs to monitor effectiveness and impact of campaign strategies and tactics with a continual improvement mindset
  • Event management coordinate and support attendance at trade shows, organise and deliver educational webinars etc as part of the portfolio growth strategy
  • Support management of social media channels creating content, scheduling, posting, listening and active engagement
  • Build the marketing database and manage and implement a newsletter publishing schedule, write and issue newsletters, develop targeted updates to audience segments etc
  • Work as an integral part of a dedicated and busy team, supporting other team members as required
  • Support the Marketing Manager with other marketing related activities as required

Person Specification:

Medical device/healthcare experience, ideally including some experience of international marketing.

A driven, ambitious, confident self-starter with gravitas, energy, excellent communication and interpersonal skills including influencing without authority.

A strategic thinker and commercially minded with an ability to understand customer needs and convert them into a product vision.

Willingness and ability to take a hands on approach to deliver outputs and achieve results. Ability to be self-reliant, multi-task and work effectively as part of a fast moving and dynamic environment essential.
