Lovett Care is seeking a General Assistant to join our amazing team at Bod Hyfryd.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in partnership with our team to deliver quality care for a diverse group of residents.

What is the purpose of a General Assistant?
To assist in the care team and kitchen department within the home. You will also be able to step in and assist in other departments as and when required. No two days are the same


What does a typical day look like?

Assisting with the kitchen duties:


  • Prepare all foods, as directed by the Chef
  • Assist and execute various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to
  • Assist in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner
  • Liaise with care team members and residents in a polite and personcentred way

Assisting with the care duties:


  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of individuals you support
  • Develop effective working relationships with all team members
  • Assist in the support of new care team members to their job role
  • Maintain accurate documentation on pcs
  • Support residents to maintain a high standard of personal care, hygiene, and physical wellbeing
  • Ensure resident's aids and equipment are maintained
  • Respond immediately to any concerns that may pose a risk
  • Dispense medication following Lovett Care policies and procedures
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information
  • Completion of mandatory E-Learnings
  • To embed and demonstrate our company values throughout your working day

What skills do I need?

  • To be flexible within your role
  • Willingness to work within various departments of the home
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Competent IT skills

What experience do I need?

  • Experience of working in a care environment is preferred, but not essential as full training is given
  • Experience in a similar roles is preferred
