Network Technical Specialist

6-month contract - possibility of renewal

Up to £550 per day
- must be working inside IR35

Have or able to get SC clearance

Location:
Stevenage based 5 days a week on site with the occasional trip to different customer locations when required.


Our client, a global IT service provider at the forefront of technology, are looking for an experienced Network Technical Specialist to work within a small already existing team at a Mid/Senior level.


Being a vital team member in this technical refresh project, you will be working with key customer decision makers, advising colleagues and making final decisions towards this new implementation involving management of network infrastructures.


Experience required:

  • Previous 3rd Line Engineer experience
  • Previous experience of network design, network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • A good record of network implementation
  • Proven record of working with new equipment
  • Indepth experience and knowledge of networking technologies such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching and subnets
  • Experience working as part of a small team
  • Confident communicator

Essential skills:

  • Knowledge of network security and their configuration and operational process
  • Cisco and Juniper qualified
  • Understanding of network security
  • Firewalls
  • Wireless
