Trainee Accountant-School Leaver, Otley, £5.28/hr-£7.49 plus AAT study support

Are you a school leaver and looking to make a career in Accounting, then this position could be for you


A business in Otley is recruiting for a School Leaver who is wanting to train to become an Accountant, they will offer on the job training and study support for the AAT qualification via Kaplan.

You will then have the opportunity to study further to become a Chartered Accountant should you wish to.

They will offer minimum wage plus the cost of study as well as on the job training. This is a full time position with time off to attend the Kaplan AAT courses and to take the AAT exams


Technical

  • Preparation of accounts from manual and computerised records for review
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts for manager review
  • Ensure any training records or CPD records are kept up to date and take ownership of studies

Requirements:


  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with clients and colleagues
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Personable, positive and professional attitude towards colleagues and clients
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions and assist others
  • Good administrative skills including use of different systems and software
  • Ambitious and selfmotivated
  • Good school/college grades to include Maths and English
