We are looking for a Dietitian to join a friendly multi-disciplinary team within our Primary Care Network in Folkestone, Kent.
Job Description:
Help to promote nutritional well-being, treat disease and prevent nutrition related problems
Provide practical, safe advice, based on current scientific evidence
Translate nutrition science into understandable, practical information about food, allowing people to make. appropriate lifestyle and food choices
Treat a range of medical conditions with dietary therapy, specially tailored to each individual.
Advise on healthy eating for all ages, races, cultures and social groups. Conduct research relating to health, diet and nutrition.
Manage patients using evidence-based and patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide patients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.
Receive and respond promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis.
Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.

Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Dietitian services

Demonstrate own professional practice, and meet the requirements of registration
Model the Dietitian role within and outside the team.
Understand the boundaries of own professional practice, when to seek support, and how to address own learning needs
Establish a network of internal and external colleagues with whom you can share expertise and seek advice
Contribute to the development of of dietitian practice and the learning of others
Understand the organisational and political context in which you are working and how this impacts on practice

Qualifications:
Essential
Holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Dietetics together with full BDA membership and HCPC registration.
Salary based on experience.
This is an on-site based role
Salary:
£30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
