An engineering business on the outskirts of Colchester are looking for a machine operator to join their busy team. You'll be working with their machine shop team to help fabricate and manufacture their acoustic products.


The company are looking for an experienced machine operator who has ideally worked with Amada brake presses or guillotines, or who has got CNC operating experience.

Starting salary will be up to £13.50ph and will be based on previous experience. Hours of work are 08:00-16:30, Monday-Friday, with overtime available at 1.5x rate once your probation is passed.


Duties include:

  • Setting and operating a CNC brake press and other machinery
  • Using sheet metal machinery eg, guillotine, notcher etc
  • Working from technical drawings
  • Carry out other production work as needed
  • Sticking to health and safety policies


If you have a flexible and adaptable approach to working, and have experience working with sheet metal and machinery, then this could be an ideal next role for you.

**Due to the location of the company, you will need to have your own transport to be considered.
