Standard Fuel Oils Ltd are looking for a keen and motivated Payroll/Finance Administrator.
Based in Kirkby, this is an excellent opportunity for anybody with prior payroll experience who is keen to work on other tasks within the business.
You will work alongside the Financial Controller undertaking the payroll function on a Fortnightly/Monthly basis and assisting with other finance tasks, but also assisting our transport department with ensuring vehicles are booked in for services and MOT's and Taxed as required.
This role is full time:
Monday - Friday (hours to be agreed)
Duties will include:
Undertaking the payroll function, processing payroll on Sage 50.
- Collating timesheet hours for fortnightly staff.
- Processing payroll on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
- Entering details of new starters and leavers.
- Calculating maternity and other statutory payments.
- Processing and making monthly PAYE and year end submissions.
- Entering details for workplace pension.
- Entering Purchase Invoices/Credit notes on to the purchase ledger
- Submitting data to HMRC
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Booking in vehicles for Service/MOT's
- Updating service plans
REQUIREMENTS
Desirable
- Prior working experience with Sage 50 would be an advantage
- Employer and Employee tax obligations
- CIPP
- Previous experience in payroll
- Experience working with payroll and time & attendance systems
- Strong IT and systems capabilities
- Strong attention to detail and good communicator
- Well organised, efficient and able to work to tight deadlines
- Working as part of a team
- Confident using own initiative
