One of the leading Private Client firms in Sheffield are looking to recruit a Tax and Trusts Solicitor to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a law firm who have a fantastic reputation for providing specialist private client adviceto their clients and who offer a friendly yet professional working environment to those who work for them.


The Role

  • In this role you will advise clients of the firm on a range of private client matters including (but not limited to) wills, trusts, tax, powers of attorney, estate planning and other financial matters;
  • You will run your own caseload and meet and speak regularly with clients of the firm and provide them with legal advice in relation to their matter;
  • You will liaise with third party intermediaries such as financial advisors in order to progress the case for your client;
  • You will draft all necessary legal documentation needed for your clients case;
  • You will utilise the case management system to ensure that your client's case is tracked and managed correctly and follow billing procedures when necessary; and
  • You will perform legal research duties when necessary and ensure that you are up to date with the most recent and relevant caselaw and legislation.

The Person

  • Ideally you will have a good amount of previous experience in the field of Private Client law and will have advised clients on a good range of private client cases, some being high value and complex in nature;
  • You will have an excellent working knowledge of this area of law and be able to run your own caseload independently;
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with clients in an appropriate and often sensitive manner;
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and be able to draft documents accurately and successfully;
  • STEP qualification would also be highly beneficial for this role;
  • You will have good IT skills and be able to work with a range of software packages and case management systems; and
  • You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work towards both personal and team targets.
