Job Description:


Assist Turnitin's partners and customers with the integration of our academic integrity suite into overall education solutions using best-in-class practices, tools, and techniques.


As a consultant in this position, you will work closely with business development, product, support, and engineering to scope integrations between Turnitin and education partners, develop them with our partners and assist in supporting them post-sale.


Responsibilities:


  • Deep understanding of the needs of the customer and the feasibility of any proposed user experience, understanding of how to connect services using RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborating with team members and stakeholders, and debugging issues with integrations.
  • Help implement and support technical integrations between Turnitin and education partners/institutions.
  • Aid partners to develop their integrations and assist in supporting them postgolive.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with integrations.
  • Being a beta consumer/tester of new APIs and API changes.
  • Presales technical support and postsales support of integration code.
  • Informing the product roadmap as customerspecific requests become common.
  • Development of tools and services to aid investigation of issues post go live

Qualifications:


Essential:

  • Experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Experience with software development best practices, (e.g. design patterns, testdriven development, code profiling, debugging).
  • Previous experience in customer
- and/or partner-facing roles.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Drive to problemsolve skills and drive to get the job done.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of or experience with LMS systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, Desire to Learn, Sakai, and others.
  • Familiarity with the Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) specification.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols, such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
  • Knowledge of security architecture, flows and standards.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Computer science or information systems degree.
