Description
Marlin operates a collection of lifestyle hotels, aparthotels & serviced apartments across the capital cities of London and Dublin.

We are looking for a skilled Finance Assistant to be responsible for completing financial operations of the accounting department covering key areas such as:
bank and cash, payroll, accounts payable and receivables.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with wider team to ensure a functional understanding of departmental financial reporting and other metrics.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording financial data
  • Performing monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Facilitating payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting suppliers and ensuring that payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Performing reconciliations of supplier accounts and monthly supplier statements and investigating any discrepancies
  • Recording and reconciling sales and receipts transactions


  • Payroll processing

  • Checking weekly timecards and update weekly salary file. Summarise weekly timecards and update monthly files with deductions, overtime, stickiness, starters, leavers, salary reviews etc.
  • Perform ad hoc duties and carry out any additional task set by management

What Do you Need?
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Ability to organise work, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Should have a high command of excel and excellent attention to accuracy and detail
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and experience working in a similar role
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work as an overall team member to help ensure continued growth and success of the Group
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an approved accountancy course preferrable
