Due to internal promotions, we currently have an opportunity at our Grimsby LYOCELL Fibre manufacturing site for a full time
Head of Finance to join us Working
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:35 each day, on-site, reporting directly to the Site Director and
part of the Senior Leadership Team.


Within this exciting role, you will be accountable for all aspects of financial accounting, controlling and reporting for the UK entities, along with managing and developing the corporate interface with Lenzing Group.

You will also be responsible for
4 direct reports.

Key responsibilities for this role:_

  • Leads and develops the UK Finance team
  • Verifies monthly management accounts and corporate reporting information, proactively challenges variances and discrepancies and communicate information to senior management and Global Finance
  • Verifies budgets and forecasts including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow.
  • Develops reporting tools to provide reliable, timely and accurate financial information to the relevant department heads
  • Attends Group meetings and represents LGL to provide financial information to stakeholders
  • Manages the financial and reporting systems of the business and their development where required
  • Ensures that appropriate accounting policies, procedures and mandates are in place and are being adhered to
  • Liaises with external stakeholders on UK financial matters, including Insurance, Banks etc
  • Works closely with the UK Site Director and her team on operational matters to improve the financial performance of the business
  • Acts as Company Secretary and prepares and signs off UK tax returns and statutory accounts
  • Ensures that ongoing knowledge of legal requirements on the UK legal entity is kept and up to date and that business policies and procedures are implemented/updated accordingly to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Manages the preparation and submission of adhoc financial, operational and commercial exercises / information / reports
  • Responsibility for ensuring that SHE matters are appropriately managed throughout areas of accountability to meet external and internal requirements/standards including own work performance and behaviour
  • Qualified Accountant, ideally educated to degree level
  • Demonstrates a high degree of financial and IT competence
  • Ability to confidently lead and manage a team
  • Up to date knowledge of IFRS's standards
  • Experience of managing Corporate and local Site demands

£80,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
