We are a small charity with big ambitions to help empower the community to help eradicate hate and discrimination and lobby for equal access and improved public services for all.


Key responsibilities of the Project Coordinator.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Director across all areas of the charity.

This will primarily focus on running the office, IT systems, assisting in the financial oversight and project reporting requirements, whilst developing and extending project activities, events, and interventions to help raise the profile of the charity.

The post holder will also be responsible for some social media and communications outputs in line with project developments.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting and securing new relationships across the public, private and charity sectors.

  • Assisting in nurturing our current funders, stakeholders, and partners
  • Instigating and/or assisting in the oversight of a range of initiatives and campaigns, seeking new opportunities for engagement and income generation.
  • Regularly update our website, add blog posts, and ensure all pages are fully up to date.
  • Create and upload social media content to various platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Maintain GT Wales's database, finance, and financial control systems, and produce regular reports.
  • Ensuring that all office equipment, including computers, the computer network and telephone systems are effective, maintained, and safe.
  • Provide administrative and secretariat support for project including to the Board.
  • Maintain and update a schedule for record keeping and reporting for projects and grants and associated grant claims.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participating in stakeholder meetings, contributing fully to the development of the charity activities.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current information, policies and legislation that could affect Gypsies and Travellers
  • Contribute to strategy and policy planning for the organisation, and effective work delivery, through staff team meetings and other working groups.
  • Other reasonable duties as may be necessary.

Recognised qualification in a field appropriate to working in administration & office management or equivalent

Experience

Experience of working in the charity, public or voluntary sector

Minimum of 2 years working experience in office management, administration & maintaining records & information systems

Experience and/or passion to challenge all forms of discrimination and inequality.
