About the employer:


LRS UK tracking systems, wireless paging, pagers, custom software and two-way radio equipment for restaurant, healthcare, logistics, health and safety, retail, marine, education and other sectors enhances service levels, efficiency, safety and customer experience.

Our integration in to other technologies such as ePOS, Kiosks and customer facing solutions is achieved by using the LRS Open API.


Brief overview of the role:


Working as part of the support and service team, you'll contribute to fixing and repairing equipment, and responding to customer technical questions.


Working week:

Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Vacancy description:


  • Configure and program equipment to customer requirements.
  • Support the sales team with product information and qualifying sites to determine the bestsuited equipment.
  • Assist with I.T day to day problems
  • Occasionally visit customer sites to carry out site surveys
  • Administer customer returns.
  • Repair equipment down to component level.
  • Book shipments on and pack customer orders.

Requirements and prospects

Qualifications Required:

Grade 4/C and above in both English and Maths and a related IT/Digital qualification.

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification:
The qualification has core knowledge elements, before branching out into one of the following pathways:

  • IT Support Technician
  • Network Technician
  • Digital Communications Technician
Your Tutor, Pathway Planner and Employer will decide the best pathway for you to follow.

All training is delivered online in virtual classrooms twice per week

You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed


Future Prospects:

Potential full-time role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship programme.
