Overview
∙ The role requires some supervision, but a good Cloud Accountant can carry out most day-to-day tasks autonomously.
∙ The role demands the ability to speak to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues.
∙ A good Accountant will carry out most day-to-day tasks autonomously without help or needed to be prompted and be proactive in dealing with their own workflow/deadlines and raising any issues with the team supervisor.

Show reliably high level of competence in maintaining the books and records of the companies in the Group and producing accounts up to a trial balance position.

Ensure organisation and ability to work with mínimal supervision: self-motivated.

Adequately deal with a varied workload: prove flexibility in skill range.

Ability to learn
- Parks have some specific treatment for VAT treatment depending on the park and cost involved. Training will be provide via working with our external accountants.
Specific duties
-
Recording financial transactions, posting of supplier invoices, including correct coding of invoices and appropriate VAT treatment

Ensuring supplier invoices are made out to the correct company
-
Reconciliation of supplier accounts and agreement to statements
-
Posting of bank payments and receipts
-
On-going bank reconciliations
-
Credit card reconciliations
-
Processing monthly payroll for 50+ employees, filing of necessary monthly forms with HMRC, submission of payslips to employees and generally overseeing payroll system
-
Preparing a payment run for suppliers for approval by the directors
-
Review of general ledgers monthly
-
Ultimately leading to management off supplier payments via bank access.

Handling accounts receivable, including contact with customer with overdue amounts as and when required
-
Maintaining company ledgers
-
Maintaining stock details on parks and allocation of costs, such as transport, siting costs.

Processing of Group's leisure rental business, including drafting of monthly commission statements to lodge owners

Handling client invoices by recording and approving or denying the payments
-
Appropriately coding payables to prepare them for the accountant's input later
-
Reconciliation of intercompany accounts between the various Companies in the Group
-
Preparing information for external accountants for the preparation of quarterly VAT returns, management accounts and annual accounts

Working closely with our external accountants
Work based competencies:
∙ Excellent IT skills, Good knowledge of Xero cloud based accountancy
∙ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
