Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all NHS HVAC Projects.
  • Quotations for small to medium sized HVAC projects within the NHS.
  • Understand and instruct project design intent throughout the duration of each project
  • Create and issue all required H&S documentation from inception and for the duration of the project to completion as per client specific and industry expectations.
  • If required liaise with the specific H&S consultant for support and to aid in resolving any H&S issues that arise throughout the project duration. Organise and deploy all required labour on site in line with the scope, estimate and project plan.
  • Having full awareness in respect of the Profit and Loss position of the project, escalating queries and any possible future movements to ABSL senior management immediately that the issue arises.
  • Track and forecast all labour, project management hours and material expenditure in line with the estimate.
  • Attend all site meetings, including preparation of reports in line with expected frequency, as per the contract scope.
  • Negotiate all material and labour orders in line with and ahead of expected margins, working closely with the procurement team.

Knowledge

  • A good knowledge of HTM regulations
  • Ability to accurately estimate HVAC work.
  • Ability to lead and foster a positive working environment.
  • Ability to understand and communicate mechanical concepts.
  • Advanced organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Essential:

Minimum of 5 years' experience, successfully delivering a broad scope of HVAC projects preferably across NHS sectors.


Comprehensives experience of all aspects associated to Project Management and delivery of a broad package of HVAC projects up to a value of £1M.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong work ethic - results driven.

Ability to multi-task job responsibilities.

Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project. AutoCAD experience is preferred.


Health and Safety

  • Possess IOSH Managing Safely or Black Managers CSCS card status.
