If you're outgoing, self-motivated and have a proactive and positive approach to work, this is the job for you Our business is looking for an Event Coordinator to join the team.
As our Event Coordinator you'll have the responsibility for coordinating the catering for a range of events across Yorkshire.Whilst you will have your own portfolio of weddings to manage, you will as work as part of our operations team, including assisting in the day to day completion of tasks business has.
The role is very hands-on and involves working as part of a team.You'll typically work on the following kinds of event:
- weddings;
- exhibitions and fairs;
- fundraising and social events;
- music festivals;
- parties;
- promotions and product launches.
You might specialise in a particular type of event or work on a range of different events.
Responsibilities:
- work along side the sales team;
- produce detailed action plans for events (for example, timelines, venues, legal obligations, staffing and budgets);
- oversee menu tastings
- liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote our services
- coordinate the team, handle event set-ups and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget;
- manage a team of serving staff, giving full briefings;
- oversee the dismantling of the preparation area with the kitchen team and ensure the removal of all our businesses inventory and clear the venue efficiently;
- manage post event feedback
- liaise with our social media team to ensure information is kept up to date and relevant

Details
- Competitive Salary £23,000 £24,000 per annum + BONUS
- 28 Days Holiday a Year (WE DO NOT WORK CHRISTMAS EVE / DAY / BOXING DAY) We also close from 22nd 28th December
- Sundays and Mondays are usual days off. There are no split shifts.
- Our typical working week is Tuesday
- Saturday with events mainly taking place on Fridays / Saturdays.
- Tuesday
- Fridays are mainly late appointments once a week if required done on a rota system / Saturdays being a longer day.)
- There are some Sunday events planned but these are alternated between the team.

However, there are a few occasions where you will be required to work a Sunday but these are planned well in advance.
Full time - 40 / 45 hours a week over 5 days- Although the work is largely office based, you'll need to travel to visit clients, partners, sponsors, venues and other suppliers. You may need to work outside to plan and deliver the event, e.g. an outdoors wedding or concert.
