Futures Design is the advanced concept design and incubation team within Amazon's Device and Services Design Group (DDG).

We are responsible for exploring and defining think (very) big opportunities globally and locally — so that we can better understand how new products and services might enrich the lives of our customers and so that product teams and leaders can align on where we're going and why we're going there.

We focus on a 3-10+ year time frame, with the runway to invent and design category-defining products and transformational customer experiences.

Working with Amazon business and technology partners, we use research, design, and prototyping to guide early product development, bring greater clarity to engineering goals, and develop a UX-grounded point of view.

We're looking for a Senior UX Designer with an expertise in interaction design and technology to bring concepts to life through rich prototyping.

You create cutting-edge experiences with code that provoke design thinking and iteration through, demos, installations, walkthroughs and play-with sessions.

You generate solutions quickly and are adept at choosing technology that will enliven concepts through rich visual design, interaction and motion.

As a leader in design and tech, you'll help peers unlock ambiguity by pushing platform capabilities to achieve dynamic new customer experiences.

Your curiosity to push boundaries and innovate will inspire those around you and facilitate team growth, while your hands-on, collaborative nature will build trust with your peers and mature their ability to prototype concepts for Amazon devices and services.

Key job responsibilities

Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders to develop concepts
Advance design thinking through your knowledge of platform capabilities and limitations as you support your design team and work with partner engineering teams
Work quickly with mínimal documentation and technical support

About the team
We're the Devices & Services Design Group at Amazon. Our team drives design innovation, delivering Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and more. We work on the Alexa app, designing on-the-go productivity and entertainment experiences. Together, we're meeting the future head on through our Devices Human Interface Guidelines and product strategies.
