Carbon 60 are looking to recruit a Senior Planner on a permanent basis for its utilities client based in Reading


Role Summary
To provide construction planning, programming, prelims and methodology input for projects at qualification, tender and contract stage


Your role
To develop an accurate assessment of sequence, methodology and time. Reproduction of best time line going forward in the design and construction period.


Our requirements

  • Planning and programming input into prequalifications which will involve developing the construction methodology
  • Preparing tender programmes, method statements and phased drawings
  • Liaising with bid managers, estimators, designers and specialist subcontractors
  • Preparing presentation material using Powerpoint, Sketch-Up and Paint
  • Experience of 4D planning desirable
  • Contract stage preparation of programme and works with the site team to prepare a detailed construction programme
  • Provide ongoing support to site teams to review and update programmes
  • Good knowledge of building, civil engineering or general construction
  • Suitable level of safety training and relevant CSCS card
  • Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office suite software, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to absorb project information quickly and demonstrate clarity of thought in developing and presenting solutions
  • Able to work independently and manage your workload
  • Strong team ethic
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
