Description
Our Library Assistants support learners to develop the skills and competencies required to make best use of library resources and so in this role you will assist in the delivery of key activities such as workshops, information sessions, user induction sessions, user education sessions, and other means designed to support learners to maximise their use of library resources and College services,


Under the direction of Campus Library Leads, and with a welcoming and friendly approach, you will proactively engage with Learners, Faculty teams and other stakeholders to promote the resources and services provided by the libraries service.


Working within Digital Services, you will be part of a department that can provide a variety of technical and non-technical support to end users.

This, combined with your understanding of the wider support and guidance services offered by the College, puts you in an excellent position to be able to refer learners who may benefit from additional support to the most appropriate teams within the College.


You will be educated to HNC Level or equivalent (SCQF Level 7) in a relevant discipline or recent experience in a similar role.

Proven experience working in a busy office, customer support or library environment is essential as is experience of using library management systems or similar resource management systems

Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to prioritise workload and to work independently and as part of a multi-skilled team are all an essential part of the role


Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£23,895.00-£25,814.00 per year
