    Salary:
£38,000 to £40,000 per annum + company car, 4.5% pension, life assurance, health plan, 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

  • Hours: Mon to Fri 8am till 5pm.
  • Location: Commutable to all locations from East Midlands area

  • The Mobile Plant Trainer will be providing and administering training for staff on mobile plant equipment including forklifts (Counterbalance), 360 Excavators, Front End Loader & Dump Trucks.
  • This position is 80%+ field based. Remote working completely some the occasional as and when visiting head office but this is very infrequent.
  • If you enjoy fieldbased work and have excellent time management skills with the ability to manage your own diary and are an accredited trainer (e.g. accreditations are AITT / RTITB / MPQC) and have the Forklift Counterbalance training then this role could be for you.

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct regular training needs analysis along with the designated sites and your fellow Mobile Plant Trainers in order to determine the most relevant and costeffective training solutions for the company
  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Health & Safety Business Partner and the Mobile Plant Trainer team to identify additional training requirements in line with the overall business strategy.
  • Prioritise the annual training plan based on requirement and demand to ensure the training needs of all designated sites are met in the most effective and costefficient manner.
  • Actively contribute to the design, development, and production of training materials, documents, and manuals to ensure consistency and quality of content that meet the specific needs of the Health & Safety training programme.
  • Liaise with external bodies (AITT/RTITB/MPQC) to ensure all training materials and training sessions adhere to and comply with current legislation as well as our internal procedures.
  • Assist Site Management and the Health & Safety Business Partners with the induction and training for new personnel to identify any immediate training needs and provide or advise on the required training.
  • Evaluate and regularly review the training materials and tools utilised within the business, in partnership with your fellow Mobile Plant Trainers and update as appropriate to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Work in conjunction with the Site Administrative staff to manage and maintain the site training records on the required database/system to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
  • Actively participate in communication channels, ensuring information is shared and exchanged in a timely manner with the Health & Safety Department, Central Support Services, and sites where appropriate.
  • Maintain the required external training qualifications to ensure the training can be provided as requested in a timely manner.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience of designing, developing, and delivering Mobile Plant training programmes including, but not limited to:
  • Front End Loader
  • Forklift Truck
  • Mobile Elevated Working Platform
  • 360 Excavator
  • Dump Truck


  • Accredited trainer

  • AITT / RTITB / MPQC or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
  • The ability to manage your time and prioritise your workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skill
  • The ability to work well under your own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills
  • A thorough attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities
  • A driver with a clean licence or no more than 3 points
