Here at
AIS, we have an exciting opportunity available for an
Exhibition Build Manager to join our Facilities team based in
Solihull. You will join us on a
full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a
competitive salary.


Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities we are looking for a full time
Exhibition Build Manager, who will be based at Cranmore Park and coordinate the pre-show build team and the on-site installation teams for our exhibition stand projects.


The
Exhibition Build Manager will assess the needs of each project, and coordinate the appropriate resources and ensure that the resource levels match the requirements of the business, including in-house and sub-contracted capacity.

The
Exhibition Build Manager will manage the productivity levels to ensure that the exhibitions and tradeshows are delivered on time and to a high standard.

As an exciting, creative, and dynamic business with a purpose-built facility we have the busiesttrade show calendar in the industry, INDX delivers 20 shows a year across fashion and home sectors, with all shows taking place at Cranmore Park exhibition and event centre.


Key responsibilities as our Exhibition Build Manager:

  • Overseeing the execution of all exhibition and largescale event activities.
  • Organising all aspects of technical operations, assigning tasks amongst the teams
  • Managing the performance of the team, working closely alongside them to drive efficiency and individual performance, and addressing and concerns immediately.
  • Promoting a "One Team" approach, ensuring that the team are working together collaboratively.
  • Understanding the full requirements of the set up and breakdown of each event, identifying areas to improve efficiencies.
  • Liaiseing with the internal teams and external recruitment agencies
  • Managing all site services and operational staff including casuals and agency staff during show and event set up and breakdown and providing adequate training
  • Manage the site services teams, providing support, training and managing the performance of direct reports through regular appraisals and setting objectives.
  • Managing and controlling the use of all showroom fixtures fittings and equipment which will include keeping an uptodate inventory at all times.
  • Working with the Facilities team to ensure your team are carrying out maintenance work for both Cranmore Park and Cranmore Place as required.
  • Working with the onsite HSE during show set up and breakdown, ensuring that suppliers and contractors are strictly adhering to site rules regarding safety.
  • Working with the Health Safety and Environmental Manager
  • Working with the Director of Facilities to identify improvements and efficiencies and support the development of delivering departmental objectives in line with strategy.

What we're looking for in our Exhibition Build Manager:

  • ??????A relevant Health & safety qualification
  • Site and project management of exhibitions and large scale events
  • Experience managing people
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritise a complex workload and maintain a high degree of focus whilst working under pressure.
  • Event operations management
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft packages
  • Able to work long hours during busy event periods
  • A pragmatic approach with a solutions driven attitude
  • Able to think on your feet and react positively in a fast paced constantly changing environment.
  • Experience of a fast paced, high standards driven working environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A 'hands on' and proactive approach
  • Excellent organisational skills
