Description

Housing First for Families is an intensive housing support model and the support provided will mostly be to support parents to sustain their tenancy.

This could take the form of practical help with setting up a tenancy, budget management, attending appointments, benefits advice, support to access relevant services and agencies.

Any support needed in respect of the children will be referred to appropriate services.

The families may well be homeless and in temporary accommodation, about to be housed or threatened with homelessness, from a Social Housing Tenancy or Private Rented accommodation.


Requirements:


Part of the duties will be to continuously evaluate and assess/determine service users Housing Support needs and update relevant professionals and colleagues as required including maintenance of appropriate records.

Work as part of a team in a varied and flexible manner, using computer and paper based systems. Be capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to manage and prioritise workload as required.


Lone working in tenants homes and working in environments that can be hazardous owing to the lifestyle of service users.

You will be working with service users who present with varying health issues and who can present with challenging and aggressive behaviour.

You must hold a full current driving license. be registered with SSSC or attain registration. A full adult and child PVG will be required for this post.
