Do you have a Science degree or equivalent? Do you enjoy making food and creating new recipes?

We are looking for a Sweet Application Technologist to join our team to make high quality products in the laboratory across the Sweet categories (e.g. Dairy, Bakery, Confectionery, Chocolate) using Sensient Flavors, extracts and ingredients.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hands on practical laboratory work to make consistent high quality product samples

Leading projects independently as well as working with Application Technologists supporting them to deliver projects

Providing daily flavour selections for customers on time and fully completed

Creating new sweet products that meet customer briefs

Occasional travel to other Sensient locations and to customers may be required.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Being adaptable and willing to work on a broad range of different tasks and projects

Competent practical skills to be able to make products

Positive can-do attitude

Results driven - On time and in full to the required high quality

Collaborating with others in a positive way

The ability to communicate with people of all levels, both written and verbally

Project management skills - Ability to prioritise, plan and organize own workload


An understanding of how flavours and ingredients interact in products to be able to create new recipes for ice cream, bakery goods and all sweet products to meet customer requirements.

Willingness and interest to taste all types of products.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

BSc(HONS) or an equivalent qualification in a scientific field - Food Science/Technology

Two plus years work experience in new product development ideally within the Sweet or flavour industries with hands-on practical experience is advantageous
