Team Leader New You Team (North and Central Lancashire)

Job Summary:


The key focus of this role is to lead and develop a new team of community engagers to increase the numbers of people into substance misuse treatment services from both underrepresented and diverse communities, such as our local Asian, LGBTQ+, Polish/East European and older people, as well as underreported alcohol and non-opiate users.


The Team Leader will:

  • Manage and lead a team of 4 Community Engagers in the Red Rose Recovery element of the New You Project Team
  • Support your team to integrate into the New You project in each locality, ensuring measurable, positive outcomes are achieved
  • Support your team to integrate into the specified communities and encourage people into the relevant treatment service
  • Provide supervision and reflective practice to your team
  • Ensure that the key KPI of increased numbers of people into substance misuse services from the targeted communities is met
  • To reduce the stigma and treatment of addiction
  • To work closely with the CGL Inspire teams across North & Central Lancashire
  • To lead and support the Family Matters programme in Lancashire
  • To deliver against the Red Rose Recovery New You contract KPIs, and to report and present on these as required
  • Build and maintain good relationships with CGL Inspire management and staff across the key sites in North and Central Lancashire
  • Maintain high professional standards at all times
  • To offer daytoday support to the team
  • To provide each team member with regular supervision and appraisals
  • Have a detailed understanding of trauma, and its impact on addiction, recovery, the criminal justice pathway, sexual abuse and domestic abuse
  • To ensure that any sessions delivered by your team are of the required standard
  • To attend regular meetings with partnership organisations
  • To write regular reports as required by management or commissioners
  • To ensure that data is accurate and input by the team in line with our policies
  • To regularly analyse data to ensure that the team is meeting performance targets
  • To write regular case studies and testimonials on the progress of the beneficiaries your team are supporting
  • To prepare and deliver presentations to both internal and external audiences
  • To be a member of Red Rose Operational Management Team and attend monthly meetings and carry out required actions
  • Be an active member of the Lancashire User Forum, promoting it wherever possible. Arrange and deliver regular LUF events.
  • Promote visible recovery and encourage both clinical treatment and community based mutual aid, using assetbased approaches.
  • Manage safeguarding incidents in line with government legislation and RRR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate empathy and a nonjudgemental attitude towards all individuals, maintaining confidentiality in line with RRR policies and procedures.
  • Manage budget and petty cash.
  • Take on other tasks commensurate with their grade, as directed by the Operations Director
