Northern Marine Manning Services are currently looking to recruit experienced Fitters join our client's Jack-up Installation beginning around 1st May 2023 for a fixed term contract.

Rotation 5/5 weeks on/off

Please note applicants must be a UK National or hold a UK Frontier Right to Work Permit


Roles and Responsibilities

  • To carry out Engine room watch, cleaning, repairs and maintenance work as required
  • To carry out machinery repairs, maintenance and other technical and safety work as required
  • To be fully familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to the task to be executed
  • To execute assigned tasks in conformance with safe work procedures in accordance with instructions given by the supervising officer
  • To ensure that work such as entry into enclosed spaces, hot work is not undertaken without permission from the responsible officer
  • To keep all his tools, workshop equipment, stores etc. in good order and to maintain stock records and advises on stock orders as required by Chief Engineer in a timely manner
  • Be familiar with the Permit to work system
  • The fitter shall attend technical training schools and qualify for their jobs over a period of years
  • At least 4 years foreign going sea service as a Fitter

Welder's Certificate - DNV approved preferred but not required

  • Banksman / Slinger (OPITO 1 or GWO)

GWO Sea Survival

Designated security duties (STCW A-VI/6-2 or 6-1)

Hepatitis A / Hepatitis B / Typhoid Immunisations
